Little People

I finally got my shiny new printer up and running and made some test prints last night.  Looking good!  Unfortunately it doesn't like the card stock that I bought and keeps jamming.  At least I only bought the pack of 10 card blanks and envelopes rather than the pack of 100 that I was going to go for.

Inked up

I completed a couple more drawings yesterday and got them inked up this morning.  Still plenty of work to be done but the basis for the final image is there.  I had to borrow some legs for the witch from a photograph of another child as the original snap cut the poor thing off at the knees.  I'm still not sure if these legs work, I think I'll have to play around with them a bit!  This is a learning curve - when I'm advertising custom portraiture work I shall make sure I specify that the WHOLE child must be in the photo that I'll be working from . 

Putting pencil to paper

I've been a bit caught up with getting the website/blog/etsy shop up and running recently so it was nice to spend some time this weekend doing some drawings.  You can't beat sitting down with a nice clean sheet of paper and a freshly sharped 7B.

Vector Graphics

I'm finally starting to get to grips with illustrator.  I'm still at the 'tinkering around, kind of getting the results I want but not really knowing how' stage, but I'm hoping that it's going to be like photoshop and I will have a watershed moment where all becomes clear.  I've managed to design my new logo anyway and I think it's looking good.
