My Knight in Shining Armour

First drawing completed for my knight, young Euan Cairns.  Looking forward to printing this with metallic ink.

I have my induction tomorrow at the Print Studio's new premises - can't wait! If I can my seperations made in time I might try and get a Saturday morning workshop slot and start printing this piece.

Updated Pixie Pic & Some Other Stuff

I re-coloured the pixie pic using photoshop to give a clearer idea of what it will look like when screenprinted with custom colours.  

I also did a couple of other wee sketches, just for fun!  The little lady in the swimming costume is from another  childhood photo - I have no idea who she is but I seem to have befriended her on a day at the beach.  I was quite taken with her natty cozzie and headscarf combination.

I've made a couple of rough sketches from the photograph, coloured up with felt pens and with a photoshop background dropped in to give an idea of what the final prints will look like.  A very rough idea!

Inspired by an old photo of myself dressed as a pixie and a friend dressed as a pirate I am starting on my first project as The Itchy Pirate Press.  The aim is to collect photographs from friends and family of their children/nephews/nieces/godchildren in their finest fancy dress (the more homemade the better!) and turn them into illustrations and screenprints.  Each contributor will recieve a signed and editioned screenprint of their child/nephew/niece/godchild as a thank you and the rest will be sold.  I think they will make a great addition to any child's bedroom.  Or any room for that matter!
